Problems with my mk6 gti boost shudder [SOLVED: Coilpack]

That is the best way I can describe it when it first started happening it was at about 2500 revs and the whole car would literally skip revs and jump but now it's down low and when you get up in the revs it is boost cutting I can here and see the revs stopping and the engine light comes on. Please help me
    thanks jake

[QUOTE=Smitroast;1110276]Al solved thanks to gavin I was on the right track but it ended up being a coil pack[/QU

Scanned and got Cylinder 1 misfire. swapped coilpack to #4 and cleared code as it had already had some new plugs. Got a miss in #4 as soon as it made any boost. Even at idle the misfire counter was like a stopwatch.
